Youm-e-Takbir is a national holiday celebrated on 28. May 2025 in Pakistan. Youm-e-Takbir, or the Day of Greatness, commemorates the successful nuclear test conducted by Pakistan in the Ras Koh Hills of the Chagai district in 1998. The detonation of seven nuclear devices, with the code names Chagai-I and Chagai-II, was a direct response to India’s second nuclear test Pokhran-II in the same year. With the successful public detonation of nuclear devices, Pakistan became the seventh nation worldwide, after the United States, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France and China, and the first in the Muslim world, to possess nuclear weapons.
