World Day against Trafficking in Persons 2025

With the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on July, 30 2025 attention is called to an international problem. It appeals for fighting against trafficking in persons. The United Nations (UN) had proclaimed this date in 2013 to inform about the situation of the victims and to stand up for their rights. Trafficking persons means the sale or purchase of people against their will. Nearly every nation has to deal with that problem in the one or the other way.
On the World Day against Trafficking in Persons the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking is executed. This initiative aims to support and strengthen the engagement and the participation of the public. The logo in shape of a blue heart stand for the sorrow of the victims and the coldness of the offenders. The UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon appealed for becoming an active part in the fight against human trafficking.
