A senior citizen is a person of at least 60 years of age and part of the fastest-growing demographic worldwide. President Ronald Reagan was the initiator of the Senior Citizens Day in the USA, on August 19, 1988. There are also different dates and a variety of appreciation days for elderly people worldwide.
