Racial Justice Sunday (RJS) is celebrated on September 14, 2025. The day is observed annually by British Christian churches on the second Sunday of September. Although the Methodist Church has celebrated the day since 1989, it first became a national event in Britain and Ireland in 1995. On Racial Justice Sunday, Christians gather to give thanks for human diversity, pray for an end of racism, fundraisse for racial justive initiatives, and reflect on the importance of racial justice. As long as racism persists, the Church sees the need for celebrating Racial Justice Sunday together.
