National Tourism Day takes place on May 07, 2025. The day is observed during National Travel and Tourism Week in the United States, which annually takes place the first full week of May. National Travel and Tourism Week was established by a congressional resolution in 1983, as President Ronald Reagan signed a Proclamation urging all citizens to observe the week. It was first celebrated in May 1984. A lot of tourist venues accross the country celebrate National Tourism Day with events and activities. All venues are encouraged to point out which impact Travel and Tourism have to their communities.
