On July 21, 2025 there is no need for healthy, well balanced food since it is National Junk Food Day. The term junk food describes especially all kinds of food containing high levels of calories from sugar or fat with little protein, vitamins or minerals but also with, for example, too much unhealthy saturated fat.
Despite the bad reputation, junk food is generally safe when integrated into a well balanced diet and consumed in moderation. On National Junk Food Day you have the chance to eat anything you like and to indulge yourself to your guilty pleasures.
