National Beheading Day 2025

On September 02, 2025 heads will be rolling, since it is National Beheading Day. The origin and the reason of the creation of this day are unknown, not so the countless victims of this form of public execution: People like e.g. Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard, both queens of England, the king of France and husband to Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI and John the Baptist have all been beheaded. Beheading and decapitation stands for a forceful separation of the human head from his body, which origins date back as far as the ice age. There is only one rule on this day: Try not to lose your head.
