Greenery Day 2025

Greenery Day is observed on May 04, 2025 in Japan as Midori no Hi. It takes place during the Golden Week, from April 29 to May 5 when also six other Japanese national holidays take place. Greenery Day had been moved to May, 4 in 2007. Before it took place on April, 29, the birthday of emperor Shōwa, which is now known as Shōwa Day.

Nature and the environment in general are in the center of attention on Greenery Day. It is a family friendly day when people go outside with their families and spend a day of leisure, joy and relaxation. Also sport events and other cultural activities are organized for Greenery Day.
