On April 29, in 2025 the Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare takes place. It was convoked by the United Nations (UN) as the anniversary of the effective date of the Chemical Weapons Convention of 1997. This day commemorates the victims of chemical warfare and expresses refusal of chemical weapons of mass destruction. Chemical weapons combine toxic substances with modern weaponry in order to kill or knock out masses of people at once. The Day of Remembrance is alike the UN International Day against Nuclear Tests.
