Birth Mother's Day is celebrated on May 10. 2025 and is dedicated to the biological mothers of adopted children. This holiday was created by birth mothers in Seattle, USA in 1990. It should be a day to reflect the choices and to cope with feelings like remorse and guilt. However, it also is a day to remember, educate, and honor. Adoption is understood as the assumption of parenting of another person. In most cases the adopted person is a child. This process transfers all rights and rights and responsibilities along with filiations from the biological parents to the parents by adoption.
