Alabama Day 2025

Alabama Day is observed on December 14, 2025. Alabama Day commemorates the anniversary of Alabama becoming the 22nd State of the United States of America in 1819. Alabama is a southeastern located state surrounded by Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. It is the 30th-most extensive state of the USA with a total of about 52,419 sq mi. Alabama is also known under the names The Yellowhammer State, after the state bird, The Cotton State and The Heart of Dixie. Dixie is a historical term for the Southern United States, geographically located in the southeast of the United States.
