On November 20, 2024 Africa Industrialization Day is celebrated. The Day is intended to mobilize the commitment of the international community to the industrialization of Africa. 1989 the United Nations General Assembly has declared November 20 as Africa Industrialization Day in its resolution 44/237.
Associated with underdeveloped infrastructure, climatic problems, high population growth, and very high AIDS rates, almost the whole Africa continent belongs to the Third World. Africa is now generally understood as a country that has a relatively low level in terms of its economic, social and political development. The continent of Africa has an area of 30.3 million square kilometers (22 percent of the total land area of the Earth) and is inhabited by about one billion people.
