In Canada National Day of Mourning takes place on April 28, 2025. The National Day of Mourning is observed annually in Canada and sometimes called Workers Mourning Day. It commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness due to workplace related hazards and incidents. People in Canada, especially workers and their bosses light candles on National Day of Mourning and they held a commemorative minute of silence.
All those victims and National Day of Mourning in Canada are also a memorial for the importance of good health and safety conditions. Especially workplaces where people come every day to earn their living should be extremely safe. The Canadian National Day of Mourning is celebrated since 1991.
